Celebrate Jazz Legacy.
Kansas City holds a deep-rooted place in the story of jazz. In honor of Jazz Appreciation Month and International Jazz Day, we pay tribute to Jay McShann, a master of the blues whose sound helped shape and define the Kansas City swing era of the 1930s and 1940s. His influence carried far beyond the city, cementing a style that resonated across the country.
“It was Kansas City Style. They knew it on the East Coast. They knew it on the West Coast. They knew it up North, and they knew it down South.”
This tee honors his legacy and the lasting impact of a sound that continues to move through generations. Part of a larger series celebrating Kansas City jazz culture.
In collaboration with Eddie Moore with Re/Gen, designed by FK Menace.
Proceeds will be donated back to the family to support and preserve jazz culture.
